⚠️ Important Notice
This document outlines the legal framework and responsible use policies for the PAI (Personal AI Infrastructure)
system. By accessing or using any components of this infrastructure, you acknowledge and agree to these terms.
1. Educational and Research Purpose
PAI is built exclusively for personal research, education, and skill development. All capabilities,
tools, and integrations are designed to explore AI orchestration, automation workflows, and information processing
methodologies within a controlled, personal environment.
2. Third-Party Service Compliance
PAI integrates with various third-party services and platforms. All usage complies with respective Terms of Service
and API policies:
YouTube Integration
- yt-dlp is used for educational research and analysis purposes only
- Transcripts are extracted for personal note-taking and knowledge management
- Content is NOT redistributed, monetized, or used for commercial purposes
- All video metadata and content remain the property of original creators
- Usage complies with YouTube's Terms of Service for personal, non-commercial research
arXiv and Research Platforms
- arXiv API is used in accordance with arXiv's Terms of Use
- Rate limiting (3 seconds between requests) is strictly enforced
- Papers are accessed for personal research and education only
- All papers retain original author attribution and copyright notices
Google NotebookLM
- Used via
notebooklm-py for personal content analysis
- No sensitive or confidential information is uploaded without explicit user confirmation
- All usage complies with Google's AI services terms
- Generated outputs are used for personal knowledge management only
Social Media Platforms (via Apify)
- Scraping capabilities are used for personal research and analysis only
- Respects robots.txt and platform-specific rate limits
- No bulk data collection or unauthorized access
- Ethical OSINT practices for legitimate research purposes
3. AI Model Integrations
PAI coordinates multiple AI models and services:
- Anthropic Claude - Used under Anthropic's Acceptable Use Policy
- Google Gemini - Accessed via official Gemini CLI (Antigravity)
- OpenAI Codex - Used for sandboxed code execution and testing
- Ollama (Local) - Self-hosted inference on personal hardware
All model usage adheres to respective provider policies. No automated or bulk commercial usage.
All interactions are logged for debugging and quality assurance.
4. Security and Responsible Use
Security Assessment Tools
PAI includes security assessment capabilities (STRIDE threat modeling, vulnerability analysis, penetration testing
workflows). These tools are designed for:
- Personal infrastructure auditing - Securing your own systems
- Educational purposes - Learning security assessment methodologies
- Authorized testing - Only on systems you own or have explicit written permission to test
🚨 Security Tool Usage Policy
NEVER use security assessment tools on systems you do not own or have explicit authorization to test.
Unauthorized security testing is illegal under computer fraud and abuse laws in most jurisdictions (including
the U.S. Computer Fraud and Abuse Act, EU Cybercrime Directive, etc.).
Web Scraping and Automation
All web scraping and automation follows responsible practices:
- Respects robots.txt directives
- Implements rate limiting and delays
- Personal use only - no commercial data harvesting
- Minimal load on target servers
- User-Agent identification for transparency
5. Data Privacy and Storage
- All data is stored locally on personal infrastructure
- No third-party data collection or analytics
- ICM (Integrated Context Memory) is self-hosted using Qdrant vector database
- No personally identifiable information (PII) is shared with external services without explicit consent
- Research notes and analysis remain private by default
6. No Commercial Use
PAI is a personal infrastructure project. It is not used for:
- Commercial data harvesting or resale
- Unauthorized bulk content extraction
- Competitive intelligence gathering for business purposes
- Automated marketing or spam generation
- Any activity that violates third-party Terms of Service
7. Intellectual Property
- All third-party content accessed through PAI remains the property of original creators
- YouTube videos, arXiv papers, and other external content are NOT redistributed
- Generated analysis and notes are derivatives for personal use only
- PAI system code and documentation may contain open-source components under various licenses
8. No Warranty
PAI is provided "AS IS" without warranty of any kind. The system is under active development and may contain bugs,
incomplete features, or unexpected behaviors. Use at your own risk.
9. Rate Limiting and API Quotas
All external API usage respects published rate limits and quotas:
- arXiv API: 3-second delay between requests
- Anthropic Claude: Usage tier-based rate limits
- Ollama: Self-hosted, no external quotas
- Apify Actors: Monthly credit-based usage
10. Modifications and Updates
This disclaimer may be updated as PAI capabilities evolve. Continued use of PAI infrastructure implies acceptance
of the current disclaimer. Check this page periodically for updates.
11. Contact and Reporting
If you believe PAI is being used in violation of any Terms of Service or in an unethical manner, or if you have
questions about compliance, please reach out via the contact information provided on cloudenz.org.
